The EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation is a legal framework, not a universal certification. There is no single “PPWR certificate” that covers every bag, material or order. Compostable packaging is permitted or required only for specified applications and under defined conditions. PLA+PBAT and Plant-Fiber Packaging Materials
JXD Eco-packaging offers two main material directions for customers looking for alternatives to conventional packaging.
PLA+PBAT Compostable Bags
PLA+PBAT formulations can be used to manufacture flexible compostable packaging bags. Available features may include custom dimensions, thickness, color, opacity, closure style and printing.
Performance and compostability depend on the complete formulation and the finished bag construction. Buyers should therefore review the applicable certification scope rather than relying only on the general name of the material.
PLA+PBAT packaging may be suitable when the intended application and disposal route support compostable packaging. It should not automatically be presented as PPWR compliant for every product category.
Plant-Fiber Packaging Bags
Plant-fiber bags offer a soft, lightweight and semi-transparent appearance. They can be considered for apparel, footwear, headphones, electronic accessories, beauty tools and personal-care products.
Available dimensions, opacity, printing and closure structures can be adjusted for the product. The environmental claim used on the finished package must match the specific material and the documents available for that order.
Plant-fiber bags and PLA+PBAT bags are separate material systems. Their performance, disposal routes and applicable documentation should be evaluated independently.

Certification coverage varies by material, formulation, thickness and finished product. Not every document applies to every packaging bag or order.
During quotation and sampling, our team checks which documents are relevant to the proposed material. Printing inks, zippers, adhesives and other added components must also be considered because they can affect the assessment of the finished package.
Buyers should confirm final compliance with their importer, authorized representative or qualified regulatory adviser before placing packaging on the target market.

1. Send Your Product Requirements
Provide the product type, dimensions, unit weight, required quantity, destination market and target delivery date.
Existing bags, drawings, packaging specifications and artwork can also be supplied for evaluation.
2. Select the Material and Bag Structure
We review the product’s weight, protection requirements, presentation needs, packing method and expected disposal route.
The proposed solution may use PLA+PBAT, plant fiber or another material better suited to the application. We also confirm the closure, thickness, transparency, holes and other structural details.
3. Review Documentation Requirements
For export projects, we identify the material certificates, reports and technical information available for the proposed specification.
This review is completed against the actual material and bag construction. We do not apply one certificate across unrelated products.
4. Prepare the Sample
Samples are produced or selected according to the confirmed specification. The buyer can check fit, appearance, material feel, closure performance and print quality before mass production.
Any required changes are recorded in the approved specification.
5. Confirm Pricing and Lead Time
The quotation is based on the selected material, dimensions, thickness, order quantity, printing and packing method.
The production schedule is confirmed after sample and artwork approval. Lead time depends on material availability, printing requirements, order volume and current production loading.
6. Begin Mass Production and Inspection
Production follows the approved sample and specification. The inspection scope may include dimensions, appearance, sealing, printing and packing quantities.
Additional inspection requirements can be agreed before production.
7. Arrange Packing and Delivery
Finished bags are packed and shipped according to the order requirements. Split deliveries and scheduled repeat orders can be arranged for suitable projects.
Our Shenzhen and Dongguan factories coordinate production when an order includes several sizes or a fixed delivery plan.
